Broccoli and cauliflower are perfect first foods for your weaning baby and they are packed full of vitamins and nutrients. Offer this Broccoli and Cauliflower Purée on it's own or with finger foods such as whole cooked pasta or toast slices for a baby led weaning meal your little one will enjoy. With just 2 ingredients it couldn't be easier!

Ingredients
1 head broccoli
1 head cauliflower
Method
- Prepare your steamer. Meanwhile, wash the broccoli and cauliflower and separate into florets.
- Add to the steamer and cook for 10-15 minutes, until tender and cooked through.
- Blitz or mash the cauliflower and broccoli separately*, adding some boiled water to reach the desired texture.
- Store in portions using the 1oz pot, freeze and use within one month.
*This gives you the option to serve them as is or combine with other purées at a later stage.
Weaning and Storage
4-6 months – Blended to Runny Puree
6-7 months - Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months - Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months - Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
