This year is just flying by and Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, so I'm especially excited for this month's seasonal produce. 🥕
Seasonal produce is a great guide to use when including a wide variety of textures, flavours and nutrients in your family's diet! Don't forget to check out my 'Baby and Family Book' which has a full seasonal produce guide and instructions for how to serve each ingredient for baby.
1. Potato 🥔
Packed with vitamins and minerals, potato is a great source of fibre and antioxidants. For a family-friendly recipe that's great for using up extra potatoes, check out my Shepherd's Pie!
For baby: steam or roast and offer as fingers/chips or puree.
2. Broccoli 🥦
Rich in nutrients and fibre, broccoli can be good for heart and eye health. Check out my delicious Broccoli and Cauliflower Mac 'n' Cheese Muffins.
For baby: steam or roast and offer as finger food or puree.
3. Tomato 🍅
Good source of potassium, folate, vitamin C, and K with anti-inflammatory properties. Try my easy Homemade Tomato Sauce - perfect for pasta or pizzas.
For baby: puree or chop and offer as finger food.
4. Peppers 🫑
An excellent source of vitamins A and C, potassium, folic acid, and fibre. My Chicken Fajitas are a great way to include peppers in your family's diet.
For baby: steam or roast and offer as finger food.
5. Parsnip 🌱
A rich source of fibre, vitamin C and potassium, Parsnips also help to improve heart health. Check out my Potato and Parsnip Pancakes recipe in my Baby and Family Recipe Book.

6. Apples 🍎
Rich in fibre and antioxidants, Apples can help to improve gut health and brain health. Try my Apple, Blueberry and Oat Muffins.
