Cook time: 15 Minutes
Makes: 16 x Baby
Ingredients
75g almonds (I use blanched)
50g sunflower seeds
50g desiccated coconut
4 tbsp. wheat germ
300g porridge oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Place a pan over a low heat. Add the nuts and seeds and toast for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until golden brown. Remove from heat and leave to cool for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the cooled nuts and seeds to a food processor. Add the coconut and wheat germ.
- Blend until a powdery consistency is reached and transfer to a large bowl. Mix in the oats and cinnamon.
- To serve, add milk and allow it to soften for 5 minutes. Serve with fresh fruit or yoghurt. For a baby not able for texture, soak overnight.
