Summer provides some of my all-time favourite fruits and veggies when they're at their most prime and delicious! August is a great time to take advantage of yummy produce such as berries and peppers, as summer comes to an end in Ireland/the UK!
I have put together a list of fruits and vegetables that are in season in August here and some amazing recipes to use them in that I know you'll just love 😍

Cauliflower 🌱
Nutrient-rich and high in fibre! Check out my Cauliflower and Cheese Bites.
For baby: steam and offer as a puree or chopped as a finger food -
Carrots 🥕
Fibre-packed and contains vitamin A, potassium and antioxidants. Check out my Potato and Carrot Waffles.

High in Vitamin K and a great source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Check out my Apple, Blueberry and Oat Muffins.

- Cabbage 🥗

Broccoli 🥦

Peppers 🫑

If your baby is ready for finger food, make sure fruits like strawberries are cut up into quarters and fruits like apples are grated or chopped into bite-sized portions for them. Vegetables should be steamed or roasted in chunks and then offered as finger food with a dipper like our Homemade Pistachio Pesto.
