We decided to depart from our usual healthy cooking and make some Valentine's Cookies as a Valentine's Day treat...it is a day for sweetness after all! Make sure to leave a good gap between each cookie or they will merge together.
It was great fun making the cookies and we had lots of licking fingers!
Cook time: 12 minutes
Makes: 12 cookies
Ingredients
225g butter, softened
110g Caster sugar
315g Plain Flour
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings:
Icing Sugar
Red Food colouring
Chocolate, melted
Sprinkles
Method

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

Mix the butter and sugar in a mixer until light. Add remaining ingredients.

Knead until velvety. Roll one-half of the dough at a time to about ¼ inch thickness using the smallest amount of flour possible.

Cut into heart shapes and bake on a lightly greased pan or place parchment paper and cook for 12 minutes. Cookies will be almost white when cooked.

Have fun with your toppings.
