Getting children excited about cooking is not always easy, so making their experience as engaging and fun as possible is key! By getting them in the kitchen with you and creating something simple like a fruit smoothie, you can reward their creativity and get your children excited about healthy recipes.
Here is a delicious smoothie recipe that I often prepare with my girls, and it was actually my youngest Jessica who chose the ingredients! Simply add all the ingredients into the blender and blend together until smooth. When feeding to your baby, spoon-feed for a younger baby and for an older baby try using a paper straw.
This smoothie is great to bring out and about or in your child's lunch bag as a refreshing healthy snack. Store in your Mummy Cooks food flask to keep it nice and chilled.
You can freeze any leftovers in ice lolly molds to have as a delicious, healthy ice lolly for a hot sunny day!
Ingredients
1 apple, peeled and chopped
Handful of frozen mixed berries
Handful of pineapple chunks
Handful of fresh strawberries
Small glass of orange juice
Method
Add all the ingredients into the blender and blend together until smooth.
