Getting children excited about cooking is not always easy, so making their experience as engaging and fun as possible is key. Creating something together, like a fruit smoothie, it a great way to reward creativity and get your children thinking about healthy alternatives to unhealthy options.
Here are 3 delicious smoothie recipes that I often prepare with my girls. Simply blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Freeze the leftovers in ice lolly moulds, as they are great to have on hand when the sun comes out.
For a younger baby, spoon-feed the smoothie. For an older baby, try using a straw.
