DEVELOPING LATERAL MOTION
Children first learn to place things in the middle of their tongues. For example, in the initial stages of weaning when they’re first feeding your baby may only put their first runny purées near the roof of their mouth. This is why they need to be this texture in the first weaning stage, so they can easily swallow their first foods without the need to easily move food around their mouth or chew.
As your baby grows, we want them to learn how to use their tongue to go from side to side. Developing lateral tongue motion will allow them to then move food around their mouth, aiding chewing and swallowing. This is where a teether spoon is vital. Biting on a teether (especially side biting), encourages the tongue to move towards the side to find that stimuli. Baby will also learn about the object even before they start to use it. Holding and biting it and evening scooping up some food. You can introduce the teether spoon from 3 months (without food).
Ergonomic design - A soft and contoured handle makes the spoon easy to grab and securely fits a baby's hand.
Flat design is easier to use than a spoon because there’s no wrong way to hold it
Dishwasher safe and easy to clean.

A little about us
Hi, I'm Siobhan!
I'm a Mum of two girls with a passion for nutritious, home cooked food. When I started to feed my first daughter Ashleigh, I loved to batch cook her baby food. It frustrated me that it wan't easy to get hold of decent quantity, practical little pots without them costing the earth. I therefore decided to create the best solution for portioning and freezing food.
I set up Mummy Cooks as a way of inspiring, educating and empowering parents to feed their children healthy, home cooked food.

Our Weaning Pots
Our Weaning Sets include all the portion sizes you need to support each stage of your baby's feeding journey. You will have plenty to batch cook and freeze portions for later use; so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time having fun with your baby. They're also perfect for carrying snacks when out and about.
We hope you enjoy our pots and that our products help you give your child a love of nutritious home cooked food... just like I've given my two girls.
Happy Feeding!
Siobhan Berry
