Parsnips are full of iron and vitamins, and make an ideal first food for your weaning baby. This Parsnip Puree is great as a first food on it's own, but it is also great to offer as a dip with some finger foods for a healthy baby led weaning snack your little one can enjoy.

Method
- Prepare your steamer. In the meantime, wash, peel and chop the parsnips.
- Add the parsnips to the steamer and cook for 10-15 minutes, until tender and cooked through.
- Purée or mash to the desired consistency, adding some boiled water if it is not runny enough
- Store in portions and use within one month.
Weaning and Storage
4-6 months – Blended to Runny Puree
6-7 months - Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months - Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months - Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
