Cheesy Garlic Bread
This cheesy garlic bread recipe is perfect for tiny fingers and tastes much better than shop-bought! By making your own garlic bread you can control how much salt is used and can season exactly to your liking. Serve as a side to homemade bolognese or lasagne or for younger babies, slice into fingers to use as a dipper to homemade tomato sauce.
Makes: 1 BaguetteIngredients:
1 small baguetteÂ
75g unsalted butter, softenedÂ
1 tsp parsley, choppedÂ
2 cloves of garlic, mincedÂ
30g Cheddar cheese, gratedÂ
Salt and pepper, to taste
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Slice the baguette, but do not cut it completely through.Â
- Mix the butter, parsley, garlic and cheese together and season to taste (omit salt for baby).Â
- Spread the mixture onto the cut surface of the bread. Close up the baguette, wrap in foil and bake for 10 minutes. For a younger baby make sure it’s not too crispy or sharp at the edges.
